ALEX LOOKS THROUGH THE LENS OF SUCCESS
A Wolverhampton graduate has had the courage to brave the credit crunch and start his own photographic business at just 22 years of age.
Alex Styles, from Perton, Wolverhampton graduated from the city’s University with a BA (Hons) Degree in Photography and has already worked with household names including The Saturdays, VV Brown, Jordan and Matt Jarvis as well as photographers Elizabeth Hoff and Rankin. He has also produced photographing collections for retailers New Look, Jane Norman, Peacocks and the annual Clothes Show Live exhibition.
Alex, who has opened a warehouse- style Studio in Lincoln Street in the city centre, said: “Photography has always been my passion and I made the decision that despite the tough economic climate, I had to follow my ambition and set up the studio. My ultimate ambition is to become an established fashion photographer and this is my way onto the ladder.
“I’ve got an impressive portfolio together in recent months and I’m currently building on that. I’m actually offering free two-hour studio shoots to models, artists, musicians, actors and sports personalities to help raise the business’ profile.
“I know it’s a tough time but I think I have the ambition and drive that it requires and I hope that the free sessions I’m offering will demonstrate my ability, as well as cost effective pricing for other jobs,” he added.
Alex can be contacted on 01902 453 773 for studio sessions.
