A Welcomed Solution for Struggling Businesses in Oxfordshire
A nationwide telecommunication company, Pink Connect, is heading to Oxfordshire to help boost the local economy by improving the businesses in the county that are struggling with a lack of sufficient broadband.
The government has pledged to improve the broadband speed throughout the UK with £3.86m heading to Oxfordshire, but many firms cannot wait until 2015 before they see an improvement in trade.
Pink Connect’s new franchisee, Neil Monk, believes that too many companies are now relying on a weak broadband speed.
“Companies in Oxfordshire shouldn’t be losing out on businesses because of a poor internet connection. Although the government is making firm plans to improve broadband across the country, these are difficult times and small businesses do not have the time to wait up to four years to a sufficient internet speed.”
Last year, Euro MP for the South-East Region, James Elles, criticised the lack of broadband coverage in Oxfordshire and said the problem was causing severe problems for local businesses.
Pink Connect are offering various solutions to businesses in Oxfordshire, including satellite broadband.
“The beauty of Pink Connect is the variety of services in which a customer can chose from. We can boost an internet connection by punching lines together, or set up satellite broadband, which is becoming increasingly popular with clients who find themselves in remote locations,” said Neil.
Neil has brought over 30 years experience to Oxfordshire after spending most of his life witnessing the ever-changing industry from his office at BT, where he worked as a network planner.
The business, based in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, aims to be a market leader in delivering high levels of customer service, and is looking to partner with a further 80 franchisees by the end of 2012.
Pink Connect serves over 1,000 SME business customers across the UK with a comprehensive range of business communication products, IT solutions, fixed line, VoIP, data and mobile telecoms services.
