Business Growth Show Growing Bigger!
Just a few months after deciding to go down the franchising route The Business Growth Show has already sold three areas – two of which were snapped up by first-time visitors to the show, on the day.
The move into franchising came about after two businessmen, Michel Delran and Rohit Murthy, impressed by a visit to the London event in February, approached Corkscrew MD Mark Linton to enquire about franchising the business model. Mark and the two men made arrangements there and then -Rohit is now franchisee for the Central London event whilst Michel will be adding his French flair to the Berkshire and Oxfordshire franchise. Rohit and Michel set the ball rolling and this has led to entrepreneur Kay Bevans taking the reigns of the Staffordshire and Shropshire event.
“I knew that franchising was the next step for The Business Growth Show,” says Mark, “Now that we have Rohit, Michal and Kay on board I am convinced that this is a fantastic opportunity for them and us to make a success of this model and help more and more businesses around the country to grow.”
Rohit Murthy is a young entrepreneur that brings great promise to the Central London event. Already the director of his own internet business, he was keen to take on a new challenge. Michel, who takes the reigns of the Berkshire and Oxfordshire franchise, is already known in his area as a local networking celebrity.
The Business Growth Show, a networking event that specialises in helping small businesses flourish, first came about after Birmingham-based company Corkscrew Events had been experiencing huge success with a range of events aimed at helping small businesses – such as speed networking and business clubs. These eventually evolved into The Business Growth Show, with the first one taking in place in 2008. The success of the initial show led to rapid growth and events are now held regularly in Birmingham, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds and Reading. Each show is absolutely free to attend and gives visitors the chance to network with other local businesses, develop sales lead and gain valuable advice from expert speakers.
Corkscrew Events aim is to have a local Business Growth Show on every company’s doorstep within a year, helping more local businesses network for free.
The next events to look out for are The Business Growth Show Central London on the 6th May and Reading on the 10th June. For more information on this unique opportunity and to find out about upcoming events in your area, visit www.thebusinessgrowthshow.co.uk.
