Joining pr2go as a freelance journalist is simple. Firstly, we invite you to take our press release writing test. Currently, our existing journalists include ex-regional editors, industry insiders, and trade journalists.

- How do I become a pr2go journalist?
Send your CV to journalists@pr2go.com and we'll send you a test, to check your press release writing skills. Take the test!
. Based on your writing skills, our PR experts determine whether your copy reflects the right tone that Editors will respond to. Once accepted, we just ask you to sign a freelance services contract and then you're ready to get writing! - How will I be contacted if you have a story for me?
The communications team allocate briefs between the hours of 9am and 5:30pm. We endeavour to get briefs to you that are relevant to your past experience, but content can be varied, so flexibility is needed. A member of the communications team will email you to see if you are available to write.
You'll get back to confirm you can write a story within one hour. Please note, if you do not reply within an hour, we'll offer the story to someone else. Once you have agreed to write a story, we'll send an email with the story reference number and story title.
You'll log-on to the pr2go website to get the information to write the story. You'll write the story and email it back to the pr2go team member who allocated the job to you, within 4 hours.
- How often will I be contacted?
This will be on an ad-hoc basis and we will contact you when we have a story we would like you to write.
- What if I don’t respond?
You'll get back to confirm you can write a story within an hour. If you do not reply within an hour, we will offer the story to someone else, but there will be no penalty.
- How long do I have to write the press release?
You'll write the story and email it back to the pr2go team member who allocated the job to you within 4 hours of accepting the job.
- What do I need to include?
You'll need to include a creative headline, introductory paragraph and main body copy. Also, we'll give you quotes and all the factual information you'll need, so you just need to use your journalistic skills to produce a newsworthy press release.
- How long does the copy need to be?
Depending on brief set, the average press release we distribute is about 250-500 words.
- How do I send the completed copy?
You'll write the story and email it back to the pr2go team member who allocated the job to you within 4 hours, as a Microsoft Word document.
- Where do I send the invoice?
You should email your invoice to accounts@pr2go.com. Each story will be paid by BACS, within 30 days of receipt of your invoice by our Accounts Department.
